THE BODY CONTROL PILATES METHOD
Body Control Pilates is based on the work of Joseph Pilates (1880-1967), who created a series of exercises that built core strength without adding bulk and balanced that strength with flexibility.

Body Control Pilates Method breaks down the original 'classical' exercises developed by Joseph Pilates allowing even first-time Pilates students to benefit from the method. The classical exercises maybe beyond the capability of the average person and can take many years to perfect so having an accessible approach is the key with Body Control Pilates. Pilates targets the deep postural muscles, building strength from the inside out, rebalancing the body and bringing it into correct alignment. Practising Pilates will improve your posture, keep your joints healthy, lengthen and tone the bodies muscles and improve your overall strength and stamina.

As a Body Control Pilates Teacher I can work with all clients ranging from complete beginners through to those needing rehabilitation after injury or operation as well as challenging the skill and stamina of athletes, where Pilates can help to minimise the risk of injury. The slow controlled approach means that much longer-term results can be achieved. It is especially recommended by medical specialists for those with back problems.

At CG Massage & Movement I want all clients to be in the right class at an appropriate level. I have small friendly classes with a (max) of ten people which ensures my clients receive lots of personal attention and correction. I want you to have a good foundation on which to build, help you progress quickly and achieve your goals.
